I have been a “Professional Photographer” for almost 30 years now (My how time flies)
I photographed my first wedding the summer after high school (1978) and have been doing it ever since averaging more than 20 weddings every year.
I like to think of myself as the “Documentarian” of your special day.
I am there to record for all time the events of your wedding day and provide you with the best possible images for you to remember it by.
I try and stay close without getting in the way and unlike some photographers I do not try and direct the events unless I am asked.
I do not push to finish early when you book me for a full day you get me for the full day.
(note I said me I work alone and I have never used a substitute as long as I have been doing this, I do have 3 back up photographers just in case but have never used them).
I am able to photograph in many styles and normally use a mix of traditional and photo-journalistic images with a few fun shots mixed in if desired.
I do use some digital images as extras but still like the look of medium format film better so that is what I will use for most of the photographs.
As I said film looks better and it also lasts a very long time I have heard that there have been problems keeping digital images safe for the future also if I need a digital file film can be scanned.
I like to get to know the people I work with a bit so that the photos I take reflect their personalities better and not mine, so when possible I like to meet more than just once before the wedding day.
I also when ever possible come to the wedding rehearsal to meet the families,
wedding party and the clergy person conducting the service.
I am very flexible when it comes to packages I can work within almost any budget and can also work out payment plans if needed.
The possible combinations are too many to list here so please contact me to confirm availability for your wedding date and see what I can do for you.
